Jie Zhao received the bachelor’s degree in Surveying and Mapping Engineering from Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (BUCEA), Beijing, China in 2013, the master’s degree in Earth oriented space science and technology (ESPACE) from the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Munich, Germany, in 2016 and the master’s degree in Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing from Wuhan University, Wuhan, China in 2017. She is pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) and Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien), Vienna, Austria. Her main research interests are remote sensing, the development of innovative deep learning approaches and mapping flood at large-scale using SAR data.
